Keep Your Energy up All Day with These Diet Tips

The most dangerous time of the day for dieters is during the mid-afternoon hours. This is the period, a few hours after lunch, when most workers start to feel a bit tired. But because they can’t take a nap or siesta, they often turn to snacks for a quick pick-me-up.  Cookies, candy bars, and soda fit the bill, since they’re loaded with sugar, which provides fast energy. The only problem is that they also contain a lot of calories.  So, instead of sugary snacks from the office vending machine, try these simple tips.

1. Healthy mini meals:  Grapes, raisins, yogurt, and honey roasted peanuts all have some sugar in them, which should get you going. The only difference is that they’re also chockfull of nutrients and have fewer calories than cookies or candy bars.

2. Skipping the gym: Even if you’re tired, do your best to exercise each and every day. Even if it’s only for fifteen minutes, you could burn a couple hundred calories with vigorous cardio.

3. Gourmet coffee: We know it tastes great and gives you energy, but most modern coffee concoctions are loaded with sugar, which means lots of extra calories.
