Free Wellness Program Event Held In New York
Thursday, Quantum Lead consultants, in association with NFP and Healthy Business Group, held its Vital Change event at New York City’s Harvard Club. In a press release, Quantum Lead billed the event as an opportunity for “forward-thinking business leaders to join corporate wellness experts from around the world for a full day of interactive sessions focused on workplace wellness as a strategy for growth.” Admission was free for those who registered on the event’s website in advance.
Commenting on the impetus for the event, Quantum Lead President Jayne Gumpel said, “Companies that participate in corporate wellness initiatives experience an average of 19 percent greater operating income, 11 percent more revenue per employee, and a far greater rate of talent retention and engagement than their non-participating competitors.”
According to Gumpel, the event’s aim was to help business leaders whose companies have not already instituted employee wellness programs achieve the same success as those that have. To do this, Vital Change featured partners and speakers world-renowned for their expertise in business strategy and corporate wellness.
“The power and value of this event is unprecedented,”Gumpel said prior to the event.
Among the event’s notable speakers were Human Resources Institute President and Clinton Global Initiative adviser Judd Allen, Ph.D., Vitality Group Senior Vice President Derek Yach, Phoebe Putney CEO Joel Wernick, and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Board President William Baun.
